Having worked for the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) since 2006, Dr. Bhuian has developed a comprehensive understanding of radiation protection, nuclear safety, security, radiation detection, and analysis. In his current role, he is responsible for supervising the Radioactivity Testing and Monitoring Laboratory, ensuring the quality control and assurance of radiation detection instruments, and conducting testing and inspections of radioactive materials. These experiences have honed his technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work under stringent safety protocols. During his tenure at BAEC, he has successfully led teams in the recovery operations of radioactive materials, displaying strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills. Additionally, his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan has provided him with a solid foundation in advanced instruments, equipment, and methodologies for assessing the impact of radiation on materials, human health, and the environment. Dr. Bhuian is actively involved with different collaborative research projects with IAEA, MOST, and researchers from different universities around the world.
