Manish Debnath joined Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission as a Scientific Officer in 2019 and since then he has become an integral part of the Radioactivity Testing and Monitoring Laboratory of Atomic Energy Centre, Chattogram. Manish graduated from the University of Dhaka with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and he earned his MS in Biomedical Engineering where he got his aspiration to be a researcher. At present he is diligently performing his role as Technical Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Gamma Spectrometry System. He is also trained in Quality Management Systemand ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Described as unconventional, Manish is admired by his colleagues for his affable nature. His passion for science can only be rivaled by his insatiable curiosity for understanding the nuances of the world and a fervent dedication for work. He is a naturalist, an aesthete, and an avid reader of contemporary literature as well as popular sciences. His deep rooted admiration for astrophysics takes him to different places for star-gazing and contemplate his existence in this pale blue dot.His present favorite constellation is Cassiopeia. He is a ‘Francophone’ and takes great pride in not knowing anything.
