Rashmi Roy
Engineer
Rashmi Roy is currently serving as an Engineer at the Atomic Energy Centre, Chattogram. She received a B.Sc. degree in Electronic Electronics Engineering, from Bangladesh in 2015 and presently continuing an M.Sc. degree in Electronic & Electronics Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). Her research interests include developing Solar PV technology, Renewable energy, and power systems. She also works as a Maintenance Engineer and has done several maintenance works like substation, transformer, generator, office equipment, and all computer & computer accessories. She also works as a team member in the Radioactivity Testing and Monitoring Laboratory (RTML): handling and transporting radioactive materials, responding to nuclear emergencies, radiation surveys in various industries and environments, and analysis of radionuclides in food items. Since the start of she’s service term, she has been associated with the AECC analytical chemistry laboratory. An atomic absorption spectrometer is used in this lab to analyze several samples with varying matrices for heavy metals. Aside from this, she actively participated in the IAEA RAS7038 and CRP J02015 projects as a team member for the last two years. She has worked as a Co-Principal Investigator of a project selected for a Special Research Grant from the “Science and Technology Research” grant sector in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
